Jasonic's Favorites: Spider-Man: Homecoming
Hello, and good evening, Internet! With the release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day happening this week, it is shockingly perfect timing to revisit the Tom Holland series of films from the beginning. Released in 2017 (9 years ago, can you believe it?!), Spider-Man: Homecoming was the first of the Tom Holland Spider-Man solo films in the MCU. After Marvel and Sony worked out a deal to share the rights of the character, Spidey was allowed to exist for the first time in the MCU starting with a brief, but significant appearance in Captain America: Civil War. With Spidey already proving to be a profitable superhero after his previous five solo films in his own universes, Homecoming released to a high grossing as well as significant critical acclaim.
